GUITAR LESSONS
Simple things at a high level. That's what we believe here.
At our studio in Riverchase (on the Hoover, AL and Pelham, AL line), guitar lessons begin with reading guitar tablature, and learning the Key of G chords and playing along with pop, country, worship, and rock songs of their choice.
Acoustic guitarists continue to work with chords and use our unique Chord by Key approach. Students learn a few simple chords that work well together instead of learning tons of chords that they don't know how to use. Students start with four chords and learn how to easily apply them to almost any song before tackling new sets of chords. Most acoustic guitarists also sing and one of our favorite things to do is to help students begin to craft themselves into acoustic artists and start playing CoffeeHouses and local gigs. We have weekly gigs at local venues like Kai's Koffee, Ross Bridge Farmer's Market, and Ragtime Cafe and play many other gigs as well.
Electric students continue to focus on guitar tab and start to work on more songs of their choice. We use apps like Songsterr to really make learning fun and easy. Intermediate Students also begin playing in our student bands with bass, drum, keyboard, and voice students to perform in the studio and at local gigs.
